Just tap on display to select temperature of water that one would like the kettle to boil to. Leave it and the boiling starts. One then sees a repetitive display that indicates the boiling process is underway. Kettle doubles up as thermos flask to store the hot water. No smell in the kettle even when new. Downside is that the kettle is a little heavy. Adds weight to luggage. Useful to have pouch for storing/protecting the kettle, especially during travels. Sponge presumably for cleaning the kettle was given. Not sure if it was a free gift or part of the set. Speedy delivery. Very good value for money overall.

So glad to find this one with bigger water capacity (enough to cook cup noodles) and it has various temperature modes for drinking warm water or making coffee / cooking noodles. Brought it with me for various trips so far. Would highly recommend.

Takes less than 10mins to boil with 220v, if you bring to Japan or Taiwan then expect more time to boil 1 cup. It works to keep drinks warm for about 2 hours. Doesn't keep cold things cold fyi. Convenient to have an Sg plug!

Tested the Portable travel bottle and i feel it is good, with different temperature. Now i don’t have to worry about using hotel’s kettle to boil water for my child’s milk. The downside of it is that the bottle is quite heavy
